When you apply for or use SYLK, we may collect:

• Profile content you choose to share including photos, biography, and preferences.

We do not collect precise GPS location without explicit permission. We do not access your contacts. We do not monitor activity outside of SYLK.

We use your information to create and manage your account, operate and improve the Service, communicate with you when necessary, enforce our Terms of Service, and maintain the safety and integrity of the platform.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not profile you for targeted advertising — anywhere, ever.

We use only essential cookies necessary to operate the platform. We do not use advertising pixels or third-party behavioral tracking. SYLK does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals as no uniform standard exists.

Trusted third-party providers assist in hosting, payment processing via Apple, and communications. They access only what is strictly necessary and are bound by confidentiality agreements. Financial transactions are processed exclusively through Apple — we never store or access your payment card information.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. SYLK has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the privacy practices, content, or policies of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.

We retain your data for as long as your membership is active. Following account deletion, we maintain a 90-day safety retention window, after which data is deleted or anonymized. Transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with applicable financial regulations.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ABSOLUTE SECURITY OF YOUR DATA AND ARE NOT LIABLE FOR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, DISCLOSURE, OR LOSS OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION BEYOND OUR REASONABLE CONTROL.

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users promptly and in accordance with applicable law, including within 72 hours where required under GDPR.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. California residents have rights under the CCPA. Users in the European Economic Area have rights under GDPR including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

SYLK is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from anyone under 18. Should we become aware of an underage user, we will immediately remove them from the Service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where required by law, notify you directly. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
